MY STORY.
My weight loss story probably sounds a lot like yours. I didn’t think much about healthy eating (or my weight in general, really) until I was fat and sick. Do you remember thinking you were overweight in high school and then when you look back at those pictures, you wish you could look like that NOW? Well, that was me too.
My quest for health began once my health started to decline. After becoming a father twice, I had neglected to take care of myself, gained 20 pounds and I began to feel dizzy a lot. I was in an out of the hospital and the doctors said that I needed more rest and to change my diet. At this point it was very difficult to care for my family, and I knew that there had to be something I could do to feel better.
The beginning.
It all started with TRIMTUF in June of 2015. I heard my sister-in-law was using the tea to lose weight, and I became interested because at that point I was willing to try anything to feel better. Tea has been used for wellness for thousands of years and after hearing that it might work, I decided to give it a shot.
I purchased the 30 day fat burner kit to start. They also sell a waist belt and gel but after reading a few reviews I decided to check out the tea first. When the package arrived, I was a little shocked to see that product really looked no different from a basic bag. The only difference is that these bags do not come with a finger string (which is a little annoying). Since there was no time to wait, I got started the same day. The instructions on the bag are horrible and confusing so I decided to drink 6 cups a day since thats what my sister in law was doing. Eventually, I just replaced all of my liquids throughout the day with tea (8 cups a day). I finished the 30 day kit in 11 days so I purchased 2 more 30 day kits. My wife would make a large batch of tea for me every few days and would store them in pitchers in the refrigerator. I started to see feel and see results immediately. I lost 5 pounds within the first 4 days. I was still getting dizzy spells, however, I was feeling better. I wanted to keep the ball rolling so I decided to change up my diet too. I cut out fast food and red meats and limited my carb intake. I pretty much was eating fish, chicken and vegetables every day. I wasn't eating any more or less but it sure made a difference. In the end, I lost 28 pounds in 7 weeks.
AND I DIDN’T EXERCISE ONCE.
Not once.
Here’s my take on exercise: I think it is amazing, and can give us strong and healthy bodies, I just don’t think we HAVE to do it to lose weight. I do feel that it is the last puzzle piece feeling good and will start that journey next.
80% of the time I focus my diet on:
- Hydrating myself with TRIMTUF Tea (but drinking ONLY when thirsty).
- Mostly organic fruits and veggies
- Chicken, fish, and organic eggs.
- It really is all about eating WHOLE, TRADITIONAL foods. Seriously, people. Forget about egg-whites-only garbage and measuring your food. Eat as much as you want. Just make sure it is a WHOLE food, and not some processed garbage.
20% of the time I chillax and eat mostly eat whatever I want minus fast food. We go out to eat on the weekends. I eat Oreos at a family gathering. I simply don’t stress about it. 80% of the time I try to avoid it, but I also don’t freak out if something has white flour in it. The MOST IMPORTANT THING is that I am not addicted to anything. When I look at something “bad,” I really have no opinion on it. I could take it or leave it. And that’s how I know I’m not addicted. I could eat it, but I don’t stress about it. And let me tell you, IT FEELS GREAT to not be addicted. I hated the thought process of wanting something and then wondering if I should partake or not for an hour until I finally give in).
I think the most important advice I would give someone is that if you are trying to lose weight, be sure to have a higher purpose. Losing weight is really important. But if you focus on learning the principle of TRUE healthy eating, you will find it easier to apply to your life.
TRIMTUF with REAL FOOD. IT WORKS.
If you focus on eating foods that are healthy for you combined with tea, you won’t need to worry about portions or calories.
Because I don’t. Not one bit.
Here’s what I noticed in my body after eating this way:
- Before, my hair was thin and nails brittle. Now, my hair is SUPER thick, and my nails are really strong. I can’t even bite them anymore. So sad.
- Dizzy spells are GONE.
- Crazy amounts of energy, y’all.
- I sleep really well. Like deep, deep awesome sleep with dreams full of unicorns and flying.
- I am 61'1 and when I started I weighed 205 pounds and now I weigh 177 pounds. I lost 28 lbs. Yeah, that was a nice little perk. Thanks, TRIMTUF!
